The winners of the National Stage of Brazil's most important innovation award – the Finep Innovation Award 2025 – have just been announced. From a pool of 3,000 projects in Finep's portfolio, 9 projects were awarded in the following categories: sustainable agro-industry, bioeconomy, health, national defense, digital transformation, infrastructure, deep tech startups, innovation ecosystems, and R&D infrastructure in ICTs.
The ceremony took place on March 17ᵗʰ in the Ambassador Wladimir Murtinho Auditorium at the Itamaraty Palace in Brasília, with the presence of the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), Luciana Santos, the President of Finep, Luiz Antônio Elias, and other authorities.
Nintx was the big winner in the Deep Tech Startups category with its project, in partnership with the Center for Innovation and Pre-Clinical Trials (CIEnP), entitled: Pre-clinical development of a multi-target therapy with global reach based on Brazilian biodiversity against inflammatory bowel diseases.
This project embodies how Brazil, in addition to being the "breadbasket of the world," can become the "pharmacy of the world."
Finally, the company congratulates Finep for resuming such an important award and for its great support of Brazilian innovation. These resources are crucial to placing Brazil in a prominent position in the global R&D landscape.
