The IV Brazilian Health Innovation Summit was organized by Sindusfarma (Industry Syndicate of Pharmaceutical Products), RBIF (Brazilian Pharmaceutical Innovation Network), and Biominas Brasil. In the panel "Intestinal Microbiota - The New Frontier of Health," Sephani Saverio discussed this very relevant topic alongside Rita de Cássia Salhani Ferrari and Bruna Vidal Dias, with moderation of Isabela Allende.
“It is inspiring to see the growing interest of the Pharmaceutical Industry in the Human Microbiome and its impact on different diseases and health conditions. Technological advances are revealing how the intestinal microbiota influences the gut-brain axes, the gut-immune system, and crucial metabolic functions, such as the metabolism of sugars and fats”, said Saverio.
